The Patchwork Tree

A monochrome ink drawing of a single tree rendered entirely through contrasting patterns each cluster of foliage filled with its own texture, from starbursts and crosshatching to dense stippled dots and fractured geometric shards. The trunk splits into root-like limbs that spread across a hatched hillside, grounding the tree in the same patchwork logic as its canopy. Nothing here is uniform; every section of the tree seems to follow its own private rule, and it's that quiet disagreement between the parts, all still holding together as one tree, that gives the piece its strange, meditative pull.
